Garuda Therapeutics is pioneering the development of off-the-shelf hematopoietic stem cell (HSC)-based cellular therapies for treating patients with blood, bone marrow, immune, and metabolic disorders. The company uses state-of-the-art technologies in developmental biology, gene-editing, stem cells, and mechanobiology to engineer safe, compatible HSCs in scalable quantities to transform the lives of patients in need of an HSC-transplant.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate, Senior Research Associate, or Associate Scientist to join our growing team. Successful candidates will play an integral role in developing stem cell-derived therapies for hematologic disorders. The position demands enthusiasm, dedication, attention to detail, and teamwork ability.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Culture and expand pluripotent stem cells (iPSC’s) while maintaining culture quality.
  • Perform differentiation of pluripotent stem cells and conduct related functional analyses.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot procedures, developing protocols to guide internal work.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists from cross-functional teams to coordinate workflows.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of experimental procedures and results.
  • Effectively communicate research progress and planned activities through clear and concise oral and written presentations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including weekends, to accommodate project needs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays.
  • Ability to work effectively across multi-functional groups.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with good organizational, prioritization, and time management proficiencies. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a strong sense of urgency, keen attention to detail, and the ability to successfully execute in an environment under time and resource pressures.
  • Authorized to legally work in the US for any employer.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry.
  • Experience with human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation.
